ACTC OFFERS VAULTING LESSONS

It's one part horses, one part gymnastics, and one part fun – It's Vaulting!

Our focus is on fun and safety first, challenge second.

Aspen Creek Training Centre (ACTC) offers vaulting classes from the age of six and up. (This includes Adults!) Students train once per week always under the instruction of an enthusiastic trainer. Her name is Marita Hoppe, (more info go to ACTC Home - Coaches)  she holds a certified International Trainer Passport/Coach Level  2, also Standard First Aid / CPR Level C.
She will be teaching the fundamentals of vaulting, but along the way, the students can be expected to develop some life skills such as fitness, health, discipline, presence, and self-esteem. Throughout training, willingness, cooperation and good sportsmanship are the essential ingredients the student will learn.
Students are expected to help brush, tack up and cool the horse, as they must learn the responsibility, respect and love of the horse that comes with this sport.

So, the classes include horse care before and after the class, games, FUN and of course warm up through lots of exciting gymnastics on the ground and on the barrel. Previous riding and/or gymnastic experience are not required, as we train it all. There is no need to purchase your own horse as all the children share the ACTC horses for this sport, which makes it very affordable. Comfortable clothing like a gym suit and runners (no shoelaces) are recommended.

ACTC has gentle & beautiful horses named Tex and Cheeco

      Tex   &  Cheeco

They are the most important team member!
They have been carefully selected for their exceptional temperament,
disposition and willing  attitude. Tex goes for walk and trot and Cheeco will go in canter.

The Big Rock Vaulters would like to introduce you to our two fabulous gymnastic coaches.
