Aspen Creek Training Center let their name be heard at the AB-Provincials

 

Claudia and her beautiful Stallion Picasso have won the 2003

 Level 3 Alberta Provincial Championship in Amberlea, Edmonton

 

 

 

Also, the weekend before last

She and Picasso became

Reserve Champions for the

Province of British Columbia

and Reserve Champions
for the Pacific Region, 

a National Canadian Title.

 

 

 


Patty Hambling and  'Titan'  won the First Level Champion ship.

      Loni Ferschweiler on Missy won the
        Training Level Reserve Champion.

               

                and Allegra Hohm on Bullwinkel placed third in Training Level.

Special Congratulations to Pia!

She and Alascan have achieved all her qualifying marks for the 2003 North American Young Rider Championships (NAYRC) . The Championnat des Amériques presents young riders from all over South, Central, North America and the Carribeans.

        
               
ALASCAN and Pia Fortmuller represented Canada 2002

at the Coupe des Ameriques and received the bronze medal individually.
Further did Pia receive for 2002 the GILLIAN WILSON AWARD -
PIA is  CEF JUNIOR OF THE YEAR 2002

    Hunter Champion 2003

We are very proud of our new Hunter Champion for 2003. Courtney won the three show series at Green Briar Stables. She also went to her first dressage show in Claresholm and did an awesome job! Congratulations Courtney, and keep up your  hard work!

ACTC riders and horses performed very well also.
Patti on Big Riley won her first class with a score of 66%. Big Blue placed first and fourth in his classes, also with Patti riding. 

 

 

 

 

 

We are very proud of the new ACTC star, Missy.
 

 

Loni was riding Missy in her very first dressage show
and believe it or not, they won! Big congrats to this pair.

 

 

 

 

 

Theresa Rogers has been away from showing for years, and is now back on track. She was riding her mare Musket at the CA/ADA  Dressage Show at Kestral Ridge and both got remarkable marks.

Mileah won three firsts and a third with Weissgold.

2001 - Canadian Dressage Juniors Get Bronze 
 

 

"In the Junior division for riders aged 14-18, Canada’s Amy McIlwham, 16, of Ottawa, ON, earned her second gold medal for Canada riding Favorit, her Westphalian gelding.
Garnering the silver medal was Mary Claire Massey of the United States while Canada’s Pia Fortmuller took the bronze medal."

 

The first ever Canadian Junior Dressage Team received the bronze medal at the North American Junior Dressage Championships during the CDI Paxton held at Paxton Farms in Batavia, Ohio on June 28-July 1, 2001.

This success comes during the first year of international team competition for the Canadian junior dressage riders. The international competition was made up of teams from Australia, Costa Rica, the United States, Canada, and the Pony Club. The U.S. had four teams in the competition, and twelve young riders from across Canada made up three teams.
The team competition was held on June 31. The riders from the U.S. took the gold with a score of 67.162 and silver with 64.172. Riders from Canada and Australia battled for the bronze down to the last rider for team Australia. Canada finished with a score of 63.162 and Australia received fourth with 62.667.

The bronze medal team consisted of Cydney Lebovitz of Toronto, ON, Pia Fortmueller of Calgary, AB, Amy McIlwham of Ottawa, ON, and Rebecca Elming of Uxbridge, ON. The other members of the Canadian squad consisted of Lindsay Bradshaw of Halifax, NS, Joyce Cameron of Collingwood, ON, Kristine Caroline of Barrie, ON, Heather Doherty of Newmarket, ON, Laurel Hutton-Adams of Guelph, ON, Stephanie Koepke of Edmonton, AB, Morgan Martin of Calgary, AB and Sarah Rae of Oshawa, ON.
